The Meteorology Department forecasts that the extreme heat and humid conditions will continue for the next few days in Pune city. Most parts of the city recorded an average day temperature of around 40 to 42 degrees and as the night temperature also did not drop enough, the humidity in the air has increased. Medical experts have also appealed to the citizens of Pune not to step out of their houses without planning proper precautionary measures in the afternoon.
