The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has recovered all six bodies today from the capsized boat in the Ujani Reservoir in Solapur district of Maharashtra. Among the recovered bodies are three men, one woman, and two children, while one person had managed to swim to shore when the accident occurred on Tuesday. NDRF teams had been searching for the missing people for the past two days.
In a separate incident, three personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) lost their lives while carrying out a rescue operation in the Pravara river in Ahmednagar district. The operation was launched in response to the drowning of two children in the river in Akola. The SDRF team dispatched to search and rescue the children, encountered an accident when their boat capsized, resulting in injuries to the three personnel. Despite being rushed to the hospital, all three personnel were declared brought-dead by the doctors.
