Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde conducted a review meeting on Tuesday in view of the upcoming monsoon season.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, the Chief Minister informed that various topics like disaster management, pre-monsoon care, advertisement boards, places of landslides, settlements in Mumbai were discussed. He said that discussions were held on providing medicines to villages that are cut off during monsoons, providing adequate food grains, and coordinating water from Karnataka, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Shinde said that all the systems in the state are ready to tackle any monsoon crisis. Mr. Shinde said that the major issues of drought, unseasonal rain, panchnama of heavy rains, and hailstorms in Marathwada, aid were also discussed.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, officials of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, NDRF, SDRF were also present in the meeting.
