In Jammu and Kashmir, five security personnel, including an Army officer were injured in an encounter with terrorists in Doda district last night. The troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police launched a joint cordon and search operation (CASO) at Dhari Gote in the Dessa forest area yesterday evening following specific input about the presence of terrorists. During the search operation, the contact with terrorists was established at about 9 PM which resulted in heavy firefight. Four Army personnel, including an officer and a police personnel were injured in the exchange of fire. The injured were evacuated to hospital and their condition is stated to be critical. Additional troops were rushed to the area and the operation was continuing when reports last came in.
