In Jharkhand, campaigning has been intensified in the three constituencies, Godda, Dumka and Sahibganj of Santhal region, where the final phase of elections will be held on June 1. Leaders of various parties including BJP, JMM, Congress, RJD, AJSU and the left parties are addressing back to back rallies and roadshows to woo voters in favour of their alliance candidates. BJP President JP Nadda will today address election meeting and road shows in Dumka and Godda in support of the party candidates, while Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address election rally tomorrow in Dumka.
Addressing an election rally in Sahibganj, JMM leader Kalpana Soren said that her husband and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been jailed following conspiracy. On the other hand, Jharkhand Congress Chief Rajesh Thakur alleged ED is acting to influence ongoing elections.
