India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Kerala, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Konkan-Goa during the next 5 days. IMD said that a cyclonic circulation is likely over northeast Assam and its neighbourhood and under its influence, widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura and Sub Himalayan West Bengal during next 5 days.
Talking to Akashvani News, a Scientist in IMD, Soma Sen Roy said that heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of West Uttar Pradesh till Monday and in the Jammu division till 25th June.
