Torrential rains lashed parts of South Gujarat, especially Surat, Bharuch, and Narmada districts, today. Umarpada in Surat recorded the highest around 10 inches of rainfall in the last two hours. Garudeshwar, Tikalwada, and Natrang regions also witnessed heavy rains since morning.
The state has received 29.48 percent of the total seasonal rainfall so far with Saurashtra, South Gujarat and Kutch regions recording more than 30 percent of the average seasonal rains so far. Meanwhile, IMD has predicted heavy to heavy rains at isolated places in South Gujarat while heavy rains at many places in Central and North Gujarat over the next three days.
