The polling for the simultaneous elections of all Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh held today and 68.12% of voter turnout recorded till 5pm.
Akashwani correspondent reports the polling for all the 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh took place today. Enthusiastic participation is seen from all sections of the society including senior citizens and differently abled, who braved all odds to cast their votes. As per the Election Commission reports, around 68.12% voter turnout has been recorded until 5pm. Chief Electoral Officer and Special Election Observers have monitored the polling process across the state. Though incidents of violence were reported in few places in Palndau district, the Chief Electoral Officer said that the incidents were reviewed and no re-polling was ordered in any of the stations.
