Heavy rain continues to lash northern Kerala. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts today. Widespread damage is being reported from across the State. The high alert continues in hilly riverside and coastal areas.
Authorities have declared a holiday for all educational institutions in Wayanad and Kannur districts tomorrow. In Kasargod, all educational institutions except colleges will have a holiday tomorrow. As the sea remains rough Fishermen are warned from venturing into the sea in the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts.
