Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh today flagged off 50 new electric vehicles for door-to-door garbage collection in Gurugram. With these, the number of such vehicles in Gurugram has now increased to more than 500. A government spokesperson stated that the Gurugram Municipal Corporation is incorporating as many electric vehicles as possible for garbage collection to minimize environmental pollution. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a cloth bag vending machine under the Single Use Plastic and Polythene Carry Bag Free Gurugram campaign.
