Four children have died due to suspected Chandipura virus infection during the treatment at Himmat Nagar Civil Hospital in Sabarkantha, Gujarat.
Talking to Akashvani, Chief District Health Officer Raj Sutariya said two other children are undergoing treatment for Chandipura virus at Himmat Nagar Civil Hospital. The officer added that the blood samples of all these children have been sent to National Institute of Virology for confirmation and reports are still awaited. He said the four children who died include two from Rajasthan and two from the neighbouring Arvalli district.
