A total of 200 teams constituted by the Delhi Jal Board will inspect water wastage sites in the city starting today, addressing the ongoing water shortage problem in the National Capital, Delhi. The teams will visit various locations across the city and impose a fine of 2,000 rupees on violators. Actions will be taken against washing cars with pipes, overflowing water tanks, and using domestic water supplies for construction or commercial purposes. Illegal water connections found at construction sites or commercial establishments will be disconnected. In this regard, the Minister of Water Atishi directed the Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Jal Board yesterday.
