A Delhi court has summoned Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Atishi to appear before it on 29th of June in relation to a defamation case filed by BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor. The case has been filed over the Delhi Minister’s allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party attempted to poach AAP MLAs by offering them money to join their party.
During the ruling, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tanya Bamniyal of the Rouse Avenue Courts on Tuesday stated that no prima facie case was established against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, thus ruling out the need of summoning him. The BJP leader had filed a defamation case against both Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and Cabinet Minister Atishi.
