In Jammu and Kashmir, another terrorist was killed today in an ongoing operation in the Saida Sohal village in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. Last night, terrorists opened fire in the village. Soon, security forces rushed to the village and launched a counter-terrorist operation, in which one terrorist was killed while a CRPF jawan suffered injuries. However, the injured CRPF jawan succumbed earlier today.
In a related development, the security forces recovered arms and ammunition around the ongoing gunfight site that includes four magazines containing 54 rounds, 75 rounds in a separate polythene, 3 live grenades, 1 lakh currency, PaK-made medicines and eatables including PaK-made chocolates.
The searches were underway in the area with the security forces believing that one more terrorist was hiding in the civilian area.
