Meanwhile, the Election Commission is making efforts to increase the voting percentage. Labourers from many districts of Chhattisgarh migrate to other states in search of work during summer. A campaign named “Ghar Aa Ja Sangi” has been launched in various districts to motivate such people to come back and vote on the 7th of May. District administration officials and employees contacted these people through phone and video calls and urged them to return to their villages or towns and vote. This campaign has made an impact and in many districts including Janjgir-Champa and Mungeli, about 20 thousand laborers have returned to exercise their franchise. The officers and employees of the district administration welcomed these workers and expressed their gratitude for the commitment they have shown in participating in this great festival of democracy.
