Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the farmers of Bihar will not be allowed to face any problems at the central level. Mr. Chouhan made this statement while meeting with a Bihar delegation led by the state’s Agriculture Minister, Mangal Pande. He asserted that both the Centre and the State should work as a team to improve the agriculture sector in the country and seek solutions in a concerted manner.
Mr. Chouhan also assured the delegation that he would review the allocation of funds to Bihar under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and the National Food Security Mission. He called for a review to ensure the smooth supply of seeds for the Kharif season and early planning for the supply of Rabi seeds. The Agriculture Minister of Bihar called for the need to strengthen Krishi Vigyan Kendras in the state, and the Union Minister assured that he would review their functioning.
