In Bihar, campaigning has been intensified in poll bound parliamentary segments of sixth and rest of the Lok Sabha constituencies. Senior BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed public meetings in Buxar, Siwan and Muzaffarpur in support of NDA Candidates.
Mr. Biswa Sarma alleged that Congress is pursuing an agenda of vote bank politics and supporting reservation on the religious basis. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked for all citizens of India without any discrimination on caste, creed and religion, so all people are benefitting from policies of NDA government.
BJP leader and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi alleged that Congress and RJD are trying to mislead people so they are making propaganda that BJP will scrap reservation and change the constitution. Talking to the media in Patna Mr. Joshi claimed that in the Lok Sabha elections people will teach lessons to the INDI Alliance.
JD(U) President and Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar held public meetings in Maharajganj and Muzaffarpur parliamentary constituencies. Mr. Kumar said RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is trying to take the credit for works done by the NDA government in Bihar. Mr. Kumar said RJD has no concern about development and employment because it is indulged in corruption.
Senior Congress leader, Salman Khurshid said in Patna that BJP is playing communal politics on the name of Hindu and Muslim, but it will not succeed.
RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav addressed election rallies in Saran, Vaishali, Madhubani and Sitamarhi parliamentary constituencies. Mr. Yadav said despite being in power for the last 10 years at Centre, BJP has done nothing for the solution of problems of Bihar. He said BJP and JD(U) made several promises with people of Bihar but the problems of migration, unemployment and flood are still as it is.
