In Bihar, a total of 54 candidates are in the fray for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in the five parliamentary constituencies of Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Araria, Madhepura and Khagaria Lok Sabha segments. On the last day of withdrawal of candidature, no candidate withdrew their nomination paper.
According to the State Chief Electoral Office (CEO), maximum 15 candidates are in fray in Supaul Lok Sabha segment followed by 12 in Khagaria and 10 in Jhanjharpur. In Araria Lok Sabha segment, 09 candidates are in fray while 08 candidates will contest from Madhepura parliamentary constituency. Polling will be held on 7th May in these Lok Sabha segments.
