In IPL Cricket, today Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It will start at 7.30 this evening. Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking to inch closer to the playoffs with another victory. For Mumbai Indians, the race to the IPL playoffs seems lost even though they have five more games to play. In the points table, Mumbai Indians stand at the ninth spot and Kolkata Knight Riders at the second position.
 
Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated table-topper Rajasthan Royals by one run in a thrilling encounter in Hyderabad last night. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the home team scored 201 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Nitish Kumar with unbeaten 76 runs off 42 balls and Travis Head with 58 runs off 42 balls made valuable contributions to help Hyderabad record its fifth 200-plus score of the season.  In reply, Rajasthan Royals failed to achieve the target, falling short by only a run. The victory came on the last ball of the match.
