Primary Schools in Delhi reopens following improvement in Air Quality Index

Primary Schools in National Captial have been reopened today following the improvement in Air Quality Index. Outdoor activities have also been resumed for all the classes. The decision to re-open the primary schools was taken by Delhi Government as Commission for Air Quality Management revoked Stage four of the Graded Response Action Plan in the entire National Capital Region on Sunday following the improvement in the air quality. Due to high pollution levels, the Delhi government had earlier announced the closure of primary schools till the air quality improves.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi and National Capital Region remained in very poor category. According to Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 305 at 11 this morning. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered poor, 301 to 400 very poor and above 401 a severe category.
