President Droupadi Murmu reached Aizawl today on a two-day visit to Mizoram. She was accorded a warm reception at Lengpui airport by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Zoramthanga, and top officials of the state government.This is the President’s maiden visit to Mizoram after assuming office. She will address the 17th Convocation of Mizoram University. On the occasion, she will also inaugurate and lay foundation stone of educational projects. Later in the evening, the state government will accord a civic reception to President Murmu at Raj Bhavan. Tomorrow, Ms Murmu is scheduled to address a special session of the Legislative assembly.
