Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate Invest Karnataka Global Investors Meet tomorrow. The event is to be held for three days in Bengaluru. The flagship event of the Government of Karnataka is estimated to garner investment of five lakh crore rupees and is expected to generate five lakh jobs.
Karnataka Large and Medium Industries minister Dr. Murugesh R Nirani has said that Karnataka is the preferred destination for investments in the manufacturing and sustainability sectors. The Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje, MoS for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrasekhar will attend the inaugural event tomorrow.
The theme of this edition Meet is ‘Build for the World’, reflecting the role Karnataka aims to play in the global supply chain. The key topics to be addressed during the event include innovation, sustainability, equity, and resilience. There will be 80 plus immersive speaker sessions and 50 plus insightful sessions spread across three days. In addition, there will also be 300 plus exhibitors. The country sessions that will run parallel will be hosted by France, Germany, Netherlands, South Korea, Japan, and Australia.
