PM Modi to dedicate Ramagundam Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited to nation

Amidst elaborate arrangements, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) to the nation on Saturday. He will reach Ramagundam by a helicopter from Begumpet airport. After two decades of the closure of the FCI plant, the revived RFCL has been developed as one of the major fertilizers plants in the country. The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone in 2016 for the RFCL gas-based fertilizer plant in Ramagundam which is located over 250 kilometers from Hyderabad in Peddapalli district of Telangana. With a capacity of 12.7 lakh metric tonnes of neem-coated Urea, the RFCL is the first such major plant which began production. Aimed at augmenting the domestic urea production, reduce import of urea, bridge the demand-supply gap besides attaining self-sufficiency in urea sector, the RFCL will cater to the needs of farmers of mainly Telangana Andhra Pradesh besides neighbouring States like Maharashtra and Chattisghad and expected to give a major fillip to the economy by reducing imports, ushering in the development of MSME vendors for supply of goods for the factory.Besides, the Prime Minister will be inaugurating the new railway line, Bhadrachalam Road – Sattupalli, completed at a cost of about 1000 crore rupees. The railway line expected to enhance the rail connectivity in the region. He will also lay the foundation stone to works of various road projects worth over 2200 crore rupees. They include Medak-Siddipet-Elkathurthy section, Bodhan-Basar-Bhainsa section, Sironcha to Mahadevpur Section of different highways.Meanwhile, farmers in big numbers are reaching to the NTPC stadium in Ramagundam to listen to the Prime Minister who will address them in a couple of hours.
