Over 12.83 lakh voters in Nagaland

Nagaland has a total of 12 lakh 83 thousand 749 electors as per the Draft Roll, 2023. According to the draft Photo electoral roll published for all the 60 Assembly Constituencies in the state, out of the total electors, 6 lakh 37 thousand 311 are male and 6 lakh 38 thousand 473 are female voters constituting the general electors and 7,965 are service electors having 7,857 male and 108 female.On the day of the draft publication yesterday, Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland V Shashank Shekar emphasized on the need of an error-free electoral rolls for conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections in the State.He encouraged the citizens to check the draft electoral rolls and file their claim or objections in the relevant forms within the scheduled period.The final photo electoral roll will be published on 5th of January, next year.
