Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said that India’s traditional Knowledge, thoughts, Health and cultural vitality have always received global attention. He was speaking at the National Institute of Traditional Medicine in Belagavi today in Karnataka. He laid emphasis on research in traditional medicinal practices, prescriptions and said that society will benefit by such an exercise. He emphasised on the importance of investments in research and development and added that India is poised to emerge as the epicentre of research globally. He noted that India will play an important role after achieving the goals of Vikasit Bharat by 2047.
He called upon every citizen to play an active role in achieving this goal. He noted that Yoga, Siddi and other traditional knowledge from India have helped address challenges arising out of modern lifestyle. He stressed upon the need to benefit from this knowledge. For the country to progress and prosper, he pointed out, every individual, society and country must have healthy traits. Our next generation must benefit from traditional knowledge for which our generation must inculcate such knowledge in our daily life. Karnataka Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot was present on this occasion.
