Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday (11th June 2024) assumed charge as the Minister of Rural Development in New Delhi. Addressing a press conference after taking the charge, Mr Chouhan said that Rural development is a priority for the Union Government and many schemes have already been implemented to fulfill it. The Minister added that these schemes have revolutionised rural India and changed its picture.
Mr Chouhan also said that women empowerment is a mission for the government and campaigns like ‘Lakhpati Didi’ will be included in the development roadmap.
