President Droupadi Murmu has urged students of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) to use their education and knowledge for mankind and nation.
Addressing the 13th Graduation Ceremony of NISER at Bhubaneswar this afternoon, she congratulated the graduates of NISER, shared words of wisdom and inspired them to bring laurels to the country by doing excellent work in their respective fields.
President Murmu said education is like a nectar and it makes a person immortal like the great Indian Physicist Sir CV Raman and renowned Indian astronomer, mathematician and scholar Pathani Samanta.
President Murmu, however, cautioned the students on the misuse of science and technology during their study and research that can bring devastation for the human being.
The President, who is on a four-day visit to her home state Odisha since last Saturday to attend Rath Yatra at Puri and other events, is scheduled to return Delhi this evening.
