Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended condolences to the family and admirers of Indian classical dancer Dr. Yamini Krishnamurthy, who passed away at the age of 84. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that her excellence and dedication to Indian classical dance inspired generations and left an indelible mark on country’s cultural landscape. He added that Dr. Krishnamurthy has worked greatly to enrich country’s heritage.
Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr. Krishnamurthy passed away yesterday after battling age-related ailments.
