Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian on his election as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that he was looking forward to working closely with Mr Pezeshkian to further strengthen the warm and long-standing bilateral relationship for the benefit of the people of India and Iran and the region.
