In the aftermath of a tragic fire that broke out at a workers’ residence in the Mangaf area, leaving several Indian nationals injured, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh swiftly travelled to Kuwait to offer assistance and assurances of support.
Upon arrival, Singh wasted no time in visiting Jaber Hospital and Mubarak Al Kabeer Hospital, where the injured Indian workers are receiving treatment. He met with the patients, inquired about their well-being, and expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their dedicated care. The Foreign Ministry of Kuwait has affirmed its commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare services to those affected by the devastating blaze.
In a meeting with Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense & Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Singh conveyed condolences on behalf of the Indian government and the instructions to ensure all necessary assistance and support for the affected individuals. Furthermore, Singh visited Adan Hospital, where 12 Indian nationals are undergoing treatment. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of care provided by the hospital and its medical professionals. Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, met with Singh and extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Kuwaiti government to the Indian people and the families of the victims. Al Yahya assured that the Kuwaiti authorities are committed to investigating the circumstances surrounding the horrific incident and that justice will be served transparently.
Singh praised Kuwait’s rapid response efforts and expressed India’s appreciation for the government’s interest in following up on the condition of the injured Indian nationals and providing them with the necessary medical care. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait maintains close communication with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs and specialized authorities to ensure the well-being and support of the affected Indian community residing in the country.
