Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal today said that Employment, Education and Assistive Technology are the three pillars for raising the living standards of the differently-abled.
ng the 6th Conference on Empowering Persons with Disabilities through Accessible and Assistive Technology, Mr Aggarwal noted that employers should utilize the differently-abled with the best of their abilities and not view these opportunities as charity. He called for private companies to explore new modes of assistance along with existing CSR-initiatives.
Mr Aggarwal also highlighted that besides quality content, empathy, compassion and most importantly professionalism is needed in education sector for the challenged.
Speaking on Technology, the Secretary said that technology can not only bridge gaps but also provide opportunity for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Talking to media, Mr Aggarwal addressed the various steps and initiatives taken by the government to boost accessibility for the differently-abled.
