In the National Capital, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, were among the prominent faces, who cast their votes in the early hours of polling in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections.
Senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and Union Ministers Dr S Jaishankar and Hardeep Puri, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Aatishi, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar also exercised their franchise at different polling booths in Delhi. Besides, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, CPIM leader Brinda Karat, BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari and Congress candidate Udit Raj also cast their votes.
Our correspondent reports that inspite of hot weather in the national capital, people have come out to vote in large numbers since morning.
