India’s Kharif crop sowing has crossed Five Hundred 75 lakh hectares as of today. Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in its data said that over 62 lakh hactare under pulses cultivation reported compared to around 50 lakh hactare during the corresponding period of last year. While oilseed cultivation reported over one hundred 40 lakh hectares which was over one hundred 15 lakh hectares during the corresponding period of last year. The Ministry said the Paddy crop area sown increased to over one hundred 15 lakh hectares which were over 95 lakh hectares in the previous year duration.
