India Meteorological Department, IMD has predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue over Northeast India and south Peninsular India during the next 3 to 4 days. IMD said that isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim during the next 4 days and isolated heavy rainfall over Manipur on Monday and Tuesday.
The weather department also forecasts a gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celcius over Northwest and East India during the next two days, and over Central India during the next five days. However, IMD said that heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Uttarakhand, and Jharkhand till tomorrow, and in Delhi, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Odisha today. West Rajasthan will witness heat wave conditions on 4th and 5th June.
