Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions is likely to continue over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand during next 4 to 5 days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted heat wave conditions over some pockets of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Division and Odisha. It said, there will be no significant change in maximum temperatures over East India during next three days.
On the other hand, Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maharashtra, entire Telangana and some more parts of Chhattisgarh today. The weather office has forecast that the conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Odisha,
Coastal Andhra Pradesh and northwest Bay of Bengal during next 3 to 4 days. IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India during next 4 to 5 days.
