The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over Kerala, Karnataka, and Goa during the next 4 days. The IMD added that light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning will be present over Gujarat, Maharashtra, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry during the next 4 days.
In North-East India, heavy to very heavy rainfall will be present over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura today, and over West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 5 days. The weather agency also added that light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds will prevail over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands during the next 4 days. Meanwhile, the IMD added that heat wave conditions will be likely over pockets of West Uttar Pradesh until the 24th of this month. It added that maximum temperatures will rise by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius over Northwest India during the next 2 days. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected over the rest of the country.
