IMD Forecasts Severe Heat Wave Conditions To Continue Over East India For Next 3 Days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heatwave conditions to continue over south Peninsular India including Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry during next four days. Heatwave to severe heat wave conditions will also prevail over West Bengal, Sikkim, Gujarat, Odisha and Bihar till tomorrow. The Weather agency added that hot and humid weather will prevail over Assam, Tripura, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during till tomorrow, and over Goa, Kerala and Karnataka till the 3rd of next month.
 

The Weather agency has forecast maximum temperatures to rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius over East India during the next 2 days and by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over Central India during the next 4 to 5 days.
 

Meanwhile, the IMD said that rainfall and snowfall with strong winds will prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next 4 days. In North India, these conditions will be present over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. In South India, light to moderate rainfall will descend over Lakshadweep today, and over Kerala and Puducherry during the next 6 days.
