Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman today held pre-Budget consultation with representatives from farmer associations and agriculture economists in New Delhi. She also held meeting with representatives from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ahead of the forthcoming General Budget.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, Finance Secretary T.V. Somanathan, Chief Economic Adviser of the government, V. Anantha Nageswaran, Secretary Department of Economic Affairs and senior officers from the Agriculture Ministry and Ministry of MSME.
