The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) inaugurated EME annual sailing Regatta last evening with Comdt MCEME. This event brings together sailors from various units of the Indian Army showcasing their dedication, training and competitive spirit. It also witnesses participants from pan India. The participants have undergone rigorous training to prepare for this event. The Regatta also serves as a platform to select talented sailors for further training at Army Yachting Node and participation in national and international events.
Lt Gen Neeraj Varshney has emphasised the importance of such events in enhancing the physical and mental resilience of the sailors and highlighted the role of sailing in building teamwork and strategic thinking besides perseverance, which are essential qualities for service personnel.
