Chairman of 16th Finance Commission, Arvind Panagariya held a meeting with the members of the Commission and Panchayat representatives at Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. On this occasion, Panchayat representatives of Bastar gave him suggestions for the development of the area keeping in mind the economic and geographical challenges.
The Chairman and members of the Commission also planted saplings in the Collectorate premises under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
The Finance Commission team has returned to New Delhi this evening after its four-day visit to Chhattisgarh.
