Campaigning for the remaining two phases of parliamentary elections is in full swing. While the sixth phase of polling will be held on the 25th of this month, the seventh and final phase of polling will take place on the 1st of June.
The Prime Minister and Senior BJP leader, Mr. Narendra Modi addressed several rallies in Jharkhand and West Bengal today. Speaking at public meetings in Purulia, Bishnupur and Medinipur constituencies of West Bengal, Mr. Modi said, that TMC welcomes infiltrators but it strongly opposes the Hindu minorities, who have come to India after being persecuted. He said, the process of granting citizenship under CAA has started and Congress, Trinamool Congress and Left parties could do nothing to stop it.
PM Modi said the ruling Trinamool Congress does not think about SC, ST and OBCs of the state. It is in favour of reservation on religious grounds like the Congress. The Prime Minister said, to stop the conspiracies of the TMC, a strong and stable BJP govt at the Centre is a must. He said, till Modi is at the Centre, he will not let them succeed in their ill intentions.
Addressing an election rally in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand Prime Minister Modi said, for the development of the country businesses are of paramount importance. Criticising the Congress, he sought to know how the youth would get employment if these parties kept opposing businessmen and investors.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the election rally in Phulpur, Prayagraj attacked the INDI Alliance. He said that the people of the country want to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister for the third time.
Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Bettiah in Paschim Champaran parliamentary constituency in support of NDA candidates.Mr. Shah alleged that INDI Alliance is trying to mislead people on the issue of reservation and the constitution.
On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and SP President Akhilesh Yadav attended a joint public meeting in the Allahabad constituency.
Congress leader and Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh fiercely attacked the BJP in the press conference in Maharajganj in favour of a Congress candidate from INDI Alliance. He said that the BJP speaks lies to the government.
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati held a public meeting in Mau and appealed for the victory of the party candidate from the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency of the district. He said that BSP is contesting the elections on its own strength. His party has also given proper participation to people of all sections of society in ticket distribution.
In Bihar, JD(U) president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed election rallies in Vaishali, Gopalganj and Siwan parliamentary constituencies. He enumerated developmental works done under the JD(U)-BJP-led NDA government in the past 17 years.
Senior leaders of BJP, Lok Janshakti Party and Hindustani Awam Morcha also held public meetings in support of NDA candidates in Maharajganj, Siwan, Buxar, Arrah, Jehanabad and other poll-bound Lok Sabha segments.
On the other hand, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said his party has never supported the reservation on a religious basis. Talking to media persons in Patna, Mr. Ramesh said reservation on the basis of religion is unconstitutional. He said some Muslims are getting reservations from previous times on the basis of their backwardness. RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav held public meetings in Siwan and Maharajganj parliamentary segments.
In Uttar Pradesh, the campaign for the sixth and seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections is at its peak in the state. Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the election rally in Phulpur, Prayagraj today, attacked the INDI Alliance.
He said that the people of the country want to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister for the third time. While addressing the election rally in Madianhu, Jaunpur, Mr. Shah said that Congress is spreading the lie that if Modi comes, reservations will be removed. He said that Congress wants to divide the country, but the BJP will never allow the country to be divided.
Senior BJP leader and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today addressed election rallies in Azamgarh, Phulpur of Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. He said that today the identity of Azamgarh has changed. Migration of youth in search of employment has reduced.
BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a rally in Ghazipur and appealed for the victory of the BJP candidate.
On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and SP President Akhilesh Yadav attended a joint public meeting in the Allahabad constituency.
