BJP has slammed opposition leaders for defending Emergency. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, senior party spokesperson, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi alleged that ever since the government has declared the observation of Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas, the people who pretend to protect the Constitution have become uncomfortable.
He said the emergency was a dark period and accused Congress of killing the soul of Democracy. Mr Trivedi said, during the Emergency period, even the most basic human rights were taken away, and the Judiciary was deprived of its powers.
