In Manipur, the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed at 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles Parade Ground today commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who served as the first Home Minister of India after Independence.Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh attended the function and while addressing the audience said that Manipur is heading forward the development including improvement in connectivity with other states and further appealed to the public to join hands and work together for further development of the state.He said that the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed since 2014 to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and every citizen of the country should know the importance of the observance. Shri Biren said that every citizen should have the highest honour for our country and birthplace.The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister of India is revered across the world as a world leader because of the respect he and his works are shown by the people of the country. The Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme under Prime Minister has imbibed self-confidence in every Indian. Under the initiative, the country has made many development strides.Shri Biren inspected the March Past Parade and also administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to all attending the observation.
