Environment Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav has said that India’s extensive experience in mangrove restoration will contribute to the global knowledge base.He was speaking at the launch of the Mangrove Alliance for Climate, which was held on the sidelines of the ongoing COP 27 at Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Mr. Yadav said, Mangrove Alliance for Climate initiative will bring the world together to advance the global cause of Mangroves.The Minister said, Mangroves are one of the most productive ecosystems in the world. He said, this tidal forest serves as a nursery ground for several organisms, protects coastal erosion, and provides a livelihood for millions of people.
