Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Harpreet Singh has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for laying the foundation stone of the Gurdwara Hemkund Sahib Ropeway. The ropeway will connect Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib. It will reduce travel time from more than a day to only about 45 minutes. In a letter written to Prime Minister, He said, for any devout Sikh, this is a historic occasion and will further bring together the pilgrims with their sacred places.In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi assured the Sangat that government will keep working to fulfil the vision of the Guru Sahibs.
