ISRO to launch its first dedicated commercial satellite LVM3 from Sriharikota

The first dedicated commercial satellite LVM3 to be launched by ISRO in the early hours on 23rd of October from the Sathish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota will be a historic milestone for New Space India Limited, the commercial arm of Indian Space Research Organisation.The Organisation has signed two launch service contracts with UK’s Network Access Association for launching One Web LEO broadband communication satellites on board ISRO’s heaviest launcher LVM3. One web is a global communications network, powered from space, enabling connectivity for governments, business and communities. It is implementing a constellation of Low Earth Orbit Satellites. As part of the Contract, 36 satellites will be placed into orbit by LVM 3. According to ISRO, the cryo stage equipment bay assembly has been completed and final checks are in progress. LVM 3 is a three-stage vehicle with two solid motor strap- Ons, a liquid propellant core stage and a cryogenic stage.
