India Defeat Afghanistan By 47 Runs In T20 World Cup Super 8 Round

In the T20 Cricket World Cup, India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados in the  Super Eight round. Chasing a target of 182 runs set by India, Afghanistan were all out for 134 in the stipulated 20 overs. For Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omarzai was the top scorer with 26 runs. Jasprit Bumrah scalped 3 wickets.
 
Earlier, the Men in Blue won the toss and elected to bat. Team India made 181 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav was the highest scorer for India with a quick fire of 53 runs off 28 balls. For Afghanistan Rashid Khan took 3 wickets.  Suryakumar Yadav was declared Player of the Match.
There are two matches slated for today in the Super Eight round. Australia will take on Bangladesh at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua at 6 am IST. In the second match, England will face South Africa at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia. The match will start at 8 pm IST.
