IMD predicts Heat Wave To Severe Heat Wave Conditions Over Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh & Uttarakhand

India Meteorological Department-IMD has predicted heat wave to severe heat wave conditions over the isolated pockets of Bihar, Jharkhand, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand today. The same conditions are also expected in most parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi during the next two days. IMD said that severe heat wave conditions are likely in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Division, and north Rajasthan till Tuesday. Yesterday,The highest Maximum temperature observed in the plains of Northwest India was 46.5 degrees Celsius recorded at Gurdaspur in Punjab.
 

Meanwhile, the weather agency said that the Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Navsari, Jalgaon, Amravati, Chandrapur, Bijapur, Sukma, Malkangirı, Vizianagaram and Islampur. IMD forecast that a fresh Western Disturbance to affect Northwest India from Tuesday Night. Under its influence, light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall is very likely over Jammu- Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during 19th to 21st June.
