Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called for across-border cooperation to fight cross-border terrorism saying Interpol is essential for it. He stressed on the need for a global definition for terrorism and termed it as the biggest violator of human rights. Mr. Shah said this while addressing the 90th session of the Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi today.The Minister asked Interpol to establish a real-time information-action network against terrorism activities. He said India has always stood with anti-terrorism activities worldwide.Mr. Shah said the government has formed the Indian Cyber Forensic Centre to keep a check on rising cyber crimes. He also emphasized on the need to think above conventional geographical crimes adding that crime has now become borderless. Saying that India is one of the oldest members of Interpol, the Minister added that such an organisation is important for international cooperation.
