Union Home minister Amit Shah has expressed the need to take strong actions to remove the evil of drugs and save youth of country. Mr Shah was speaking in Gandhinagar Gujarat on the occasion of drug destruction and online destruction of seized drugs in different districts of Gujarat.Union Home Minister said that Narendra Modi government has taken very strict actions against the drug evil. He informed that during last 8 years more than 3172 cases where registered against drug peddlers and drug movers.The narcotics control bureau has seized more than 1.33 lakhs kilograms of rupees 20000 crore of drugs.The union minister said that war against drugs is at its crucial stage and government has succeeded well in it. The minister expressed need to tackle evil of drugs hard-handedly and take proper actions to stop infiltration of drugs from other countries.He appealed NCB and police to take help of coastal police, coast guard as well as the Navy in this campaign. Shri Amit Shah called on NCB and police of Maharashtra and Goa also to stop infiltration of drugs through Marine borders.He appealed to Gujarat and Rajasthan NCB and police to be vigilant on the international border with Pakistan.Union Home Minister expressed need to form district-level enforcement committees and making them more active. he said that proper training should be given to the officers end workers who are busy with stopping the evil of drugs.He informed that five modules where prepared to train such staff. Shri Amit Shah called on to take help of national forensic science University to remove the evil of drugs from the country.Apploading the functions of NCB Shri Amit Shah said that NCB has adopted approach from top to bottom and bottom to top to search and identify the whole network of drugs.Even in a single case of small quantity drug the whole network is searched and people behind this network are arrested.Union Home minister said that the money earned from drugs are mostly used in terrorism and so if the evil of drug is destroyed it will help a lot in destroying terrorism.In today’s program in Gandhinagar, drugs of lakhs of rupees were destroyed in different places online and union Home minister observed the whole function virtually.Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other dignitaries were present during this program. before destruction of drugs a PPT plan was presented to stop and destroy the evil of drugs by NCB officers.
